ASIAN AMERICAN FEDERATION PRESENTS New York, NY The Asian American Federation of New York is pleased to announce the publication of the fifth edition of Human Services for Asian Americans in Metropolitan New York. One of the Federations most widely distributed resources, the Human Services Directory has helped community service providers, government representatives, researchers, families in need, and others identify culturally appropriate services for Asian Americans in the metropolitan New York area for over a decade. The Human Services Directory features profiles of select health and human service organizations and programs. The Directory also contains listings of additional community resources, national Asian American organizations, and community press and media groups. In addition, the Directory includes a new section describing New York Citys Asian American population trends, gathered from the 1999 and 2000 U.S. Censuses. To purchase a copy, please send a $7.00 check or money order payable to: Asian American Federation of New York, 120 Wall Street, Third Floor, New York, NY 10005, Attn: Julie Chan. Information on the Directorys profiled organizations, along with additional local community resources, is also available online at www.aafny.org/directory/directory.asp. Users may search for the profiled groups based on field of service, population served, language spoken, or location. Publication of the 2003 edition of Human Services for Asian Americans in Metropolitan New York and maintenance of the online directory has been made possible through the generous support of Citigroup. The Asian American Federation of New York was established in 1989 to help unite New York Citys diverse Asian American communities by providing community services and identifying the critical needs of Asian Americans in the New York City metropolitan area. In addition, the Federation offers management, financial and technical assistance to 36 member agencies and other emerging organizations that directly provide health and human services to the public. For more information, please visit the Federations web site at www.aafny.org. ### |
